Our Urgent Care makes getting your DOT physical easy
Federal law requires drivers of commercial motor vehicles (DMVs) to receive regular physical examinations. These exams are defined as the “Department of Transportation Medical Examinations.” DOT physicals are highly regulated for the drivers’ safety. Keeping drivers safe is crucial to Our Urgent Care.
At Our Urgent Care, we value your time. There are a few things that you can do to make your time here quick and seamless during your DOT physical exam.
Schedule an appointment time or walk right in
We accept walk-in DOT Physicals, but scheduling your visit is recommended to make sure that a certified medical examiner is on staff. DOT physicals are done in any of our 5 locations, find your nearest location here and schedule an appointment.
Things to know before your visit:
- To save time, fill out the driver’s portion of the Medical Examination Report prior to your visit
- Insurance does not cover this exam
- Bring a complete list of ALL medications, including doctors name and doses
All medical examiners performing Department of Transportation physicals (DOT) must be trained and certified by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Here at Our Urgent Care our physicians stay current on all DOT regulations and testing protocol.
Our DOT testing will examine:
- Health history
- Blood Pressure
